At my core I am a storyteller, and when I started this adventure in 1988 the goal was essentially to tell stories, and assist others in telling theirs. I am also a craftsman, and in previous careers the media was wood and metal, the tools hammers and shears. I enjoyed that work, for it was about taking something and shaping it, working to bring the best out of the material, fitting the pieces together to create something greater than merely the sum of its parts.

Creating a message is a lot like working with those pieces of oak or aluminum, only the raw materials are people, their ideas, and their visions. And the tools used to create the message are light sensitive chips, ground glass, and little ones and zeros stored on magnetic discs spinning at incredible speeds. The materials and tools are much less tangible than a stack or red oak and a table saw, but no less important in constructing the final product.

In today's world telling a story and putting it out for the world to see is more than just the technology, and more than pure art. It's a little of both.

For over twenty years we've been fitting and shaping the pieces to create something greater than merely the sum of the parts, because we are storytellers. It's what we do.
