A Really Big Show that's really three shows!
We recently completed our biggest project of the year for one of our favorite clients, Harvey Building Products. With over thirty branches and two manufacturing facilities spread across the northeast, communicating with their employees is of prime concern for the Harvey management team. And in this economy making sure everyone receives the same message and is working together has never been more important. The solution was to close every single location, and bring all employees together at three different locations in three states, all on the same day. Last fall we began working with upper management and the marketing staff to craft a message to be delivered via on stage presentations supported by PowerPoint and numerous videos. The two hour meeting featured eleven content driven videos for a total of sixty-four minutes, providing not only a consistant message but contributing to a well paced show. To insure proper execution we also managed technical support at locations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Our client was very pleased with the outcome, which was on time, on budget, and on message.
New Hi-Def Camera
With full raster 1920x1080 HD chips, and 10-bit 4:2:2 AVC-Intra recording, Panasonic's HPX-300 provides stunning HD images on an SD budget. Smaller and lighter than any other full sized camera, it's easy on the shoulder and easy on power consumption. Since taking delivery in mid-July, we've kept the camera busy on a string of productions under a variety of conditions and we've yet to be dissapointed. Watch our portfolio page for new footage featuring the HPX-300, or better yet, call for a demo and a discussion of how best you can utilize the power of HD.
Project Update: Migration Productions
Shawn Carey and Jim Grady continue work on their Shore Birds project, having completed shooting and begun the edit process. One of the first shoots we had with our HPX 300 was nesting Piping Plovers on Duxbury Beach. By mating the 300 with a 33x Fujinon zoom we were able to capture full frame video of both parents on the nest, and three days later the pair and their brood exploring the area around the protective enclosure. The next day they were gone from view as they started their precarious lives amongst humans and SUVs.
